8 channel breakout box for use with EMX-4251 (Does not include BOB Cables -1 required)
Overview
The EMX-4008 provides an easy and quick option for connecting transducers into the EMX-425x cards. It offers BNC connections which provide a robust connection for most signal types. Additionally, these breakout boxes have an external trigger connector and an external calibration input connector to facilitate calibration of the EMX-425x cards. It support IEPE as well as voltage measurements and is designed for rack mounting.
LED Channel Health Indicator
The EMX-4008 features LED indicators per channel to indicate potential problems with IEPE transducers. RED indicates an open or short circuit, while GREEN indicates IEPE current is on. This allows users to quickly determine any problems in their setup.
IEPE Signal Conditioning
Each BNC connector in the Breakout-Box is connected to an independent, floating current source in the EMX-4250/EMX-4251 that provides 4.5 mA or 9 mA programmable excitation current to power Integrated-Electronics Circuit Piezo-Electric (IEPE) transducers.
